I tried to reserve an item, but it says item cannot be reserved - why is that?

There are several reasons for not being able to reserve a particular item:

1. You have a children's or young adult card and the item you want can only be borrowed on an adult card.
2. The item you are trying to reserve is reference only (that is can only be consulted in the library) or cannot be reserved for some reason.
3. You already have 12 reserves and so you cannot reserve any more.
4. You joined online and are reserving more than one item using you temporary online library card number.
   You can reserve one item with your temporary online membership. To upgrade to full library membership, call into your local library with photo ID and proof of address and library staff will help.
